Aardrunners raise over £3000 for The Grand Appeal

Huge congratulations to Aardman’s AardRunners, who raised over £3000 for The Grand Appeal after taking part in the charity’s first ever virtual running event, the Grand Run, this autumn.

Participants could choose from one of three distances – 1.3 miles, 3.1 miles or 13.1 miles, and complete their sponsored run anytime between 27th September – 27th November.

Robin Gladman, Senior Distribution & Acquisitions Manager, and head of the Aardman Social Committee, said: “We love a party but it’s been a very hard year for that, so events like this really help bring us together. It was nice so many could take part and raise such a great sum of cash for charity”

Lead Community & Social Media Manager, Katie McQuin-Roberts, who completed a half marathon for the event, said: “Raising money for charity was a great way of persuading myself to get out of bed to go for a run in the morning! Everyone has been so generous with their sponsorship and I’m really pleased to see it go to such a fantastic charity”

All money raised goes to help sick children, babies and their families at Bristol Children’s Hospital and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
