Family Dining Experiences

Whitbread restaurant group were looking for a character brand that could be the face of their kids’ menu, provide activities and give families a reason to return to their venues. They needed a brand that appealed to boys and girls across the age spectrum, with strong endorsement from parents; Shaun the Sheep proved the perfect fit for their requirements. We worked with Whitbread on a number of initiatives including an innovative AR collector app, where kids collect stamps to access Shaun the Sheep clips they can watch on their phone or tablet again and again.

Over the course of a 2-year partnership, we collaborated on themed promotions, including a nature themed promo, a ‘Championsheeps’ sports theme and festive activities. We also worked together to develop special and unique Christmas gifts for every child who dined in December; using our network of licensees, our product development team sourced bespoke products for the promotion that were not only a fun surprise, but offered recipients lasting value.

Over 25 years’ experience in kids consumer product roles across toy and video games industries, including founding and running publishing and retail businesses.
